Fishing Lures

Cody and I went to Bass Lake this weekend to hang out with family and friends in the snow. We stopped in Coarsegold to look for my buffet (still haven't found it!) and came across his friend Jimmy's new fly fishing store. Jimmy and Cody caught up while I took pictures of some of the cool lures Jimmy uses. There were hundreds of shiny, sparkly, and feathery lures in a huge dislpay table. Jimmy takes people out on fishing ours in the area and I'm thinking maybe we should go on one sometime if it means we get to use these.

More food pictures...

Irish Coffee made w/Jameson
Pinot Grigio
I had quail for the first time! This was crispy quail w/oranges and arugula.

Clams in wine w/tomatoes and basil. It looks like we ate a lot, but these portions were tiiiny.
We split a Caesar salad that was tossed tableside. It was good,
but a little too lemony for us and we didn't finish it.
Cody had filet w/artichoke and crab, asparagus, and a Bernaise sauce.
I had red and juicy rack of lamb that I sprinkled w/black sea salt .

I noticed that I like to post a lot of food pictures and will start trying to do more writing and post more pictures of people and places. That being said, here are some pictures from Cody and my trip to Bass Lake this weekend. Cody took me to Tanaya Lodge for our anniversary dinner on Saturday night and here are the pictures I took of us and our yummy dinner.

Refrigerators at Jones Store

Cody and I went up to Bass Lake for his 10 year high school reunion this last weekend. On Saturday afternoon we took a trip up to Beasore Meadow to visit his grandma and grandpa up at Jones store. I love going up to visit and I just love seeing the old refrigerators that are still in action. I'm not sure how old they are exactly, but they look like they're at least from the 1950's. I took some pictures of the little name plate and am planning to print them out to make posters that we'll hang up once our home renovations are done. I think Cody will like having a bit of his family history displayed in our new home.

High School Reunion

Adam
Cody and Lonnie
I went with Cody to his 10 year high school reunion on Saturday at the Pines Lodge in one of their banquet rooms and we both had a surprisingly good time. Cody thought it was going to be boring, but ended up having a blast seeing all of his old friends and just hanging out and I actually knew many of the people there because we spend so much time in Bass Lake so didn't have to cling to Cody's side all night. After dinner and a slide show we all headed next door to the Pines Bar where we closed the place down. The next reunion coming up will be my 20 year reunion in 2011 which is slightly scary to think I've been out of high scholl that long.
