Welcome Baby Buster

Born today at about 1pm.

8 pounds 15 ounces.

22 inches long.

Melita and Baby Boy (still choosing the perfect name) are doing great.  Cody is excited to be a Dad again and Savannah is still deciding what she thinks of it all :)

I saw this gorgeous day bed on happiness is and was instantly in love, so I hopped on over to the restoration hardware site to check it out... (yes can you believe it's restoration hardware???) - little out of my price range though... so instead I'll just have to dream about it...

valentines long weekend road trip - sunday brunch

here's the view we woke up to on Valentines day :) the beach was right behind these trees (look how cute that little caravan is on the end)which looked like thisbut to Cooper's disgust, was a no dogs allowed beach :(

I fired up the stove to make us a delicious breakfast (if I do say so myself)

Bryce (with nice hair) was apparently still hungry...

and here is my love heart lens attempt - which didn't turn out like expected, but hey, I got something else I hadn't bargained for... I am going to try this again, but I think I got the heart too close to the lens, the heart was too big, and I forgot to take the auto focus off (and only took one piece of black card to make it). we'll see what happens when I try again :)

(ok I'll stop with the love hearts now...)

Happy Chinese New Year!

today is the first day of the Chinese New Year (or Luna New Year) - year of the Tiger. Bryce and I are both tigers, so that means that two tigers will be married in the year of the tiger that starts on Valentine's Day.... how sweet :)

seeing hearts - photography lesson

After posting this picture last week I have been kind of obsessed with how she did it... how did she make those little hearts appear?

and thanks to flickr and Melissa T, I found my answer!

the instructions are here and what better weekend to try this :) I'm going to give it a go and I'll post my photos next week!
