Finally announcing the winner of our design contest!

Yes we know, we're lame. Sorry to all who have been waiting for us to get our asses in gear and make our announcement about the winning design. Kate was in Australia and I had pneumonia and then we're also just plain lazy. First of all we wanted to thank the people who took time to submit their design ideas to our contest! We had a couple that were fabulous, but in the end weren;t exactly what we had in mind for how we want our site to look and feel. Then, we got a surprise submission that perfectly fit the bill and we're super excited to share with everyone the new look of our site! We'll be rolling out the new design in stages as we tweek and perfect the look, but here's a taste of what's to come!

Flufflefritz Design Contest Open!!!

It's what you've been waiting for all weekend long! Today is the day we're launching our design contest.

Melita and I are not what you would call 'design experts', and have made our site look as nice as we can, but we both agree that our site needs help! So we are calling on you creative ones to show us your ideas and you could win a Flip Mino HD video camera. We're looking for a logo, which could include an icon or mascot or just the word flufflefritz, or even a whole theme - you tell us what you think.

Here are the rules:

1. You are welcome to submit as many designs as you’d like, but there will only be one winner.

2. Only one prize will be awarded.

3. All artwork submitted must be your own original artwork

4. All submissions need to be in .gif or .jpeg or .psd or.png format

5. All artwork submitted for this contest becomes the sole property of flufflefritz.com and contestant releases all legal rights to the use of their design

6. Contest starts: Monday, 13 July, 2009 @ 12:00 PM PDT and ends on Monday, 31 August, 2009 @ 12:00 PM PDT

7. Winner to be notified on Tuesday, 8 September, 2009 and will be featured on www.flufflefritz.com with the winning design

8. All contestants must be 18 and over to be eligible

9. Flip camera could take several weeks to be delivered.

What the Flufflefritz!? Design Contest!!!

Flufflefritz is our very special way of having fun – our site features food, home renovation, travel, design, photography, art, dogs, gardening, getting fit, and any other fluffy fun that floats our way - we’d like to invite you to be a part of our fluffy way of thinking! We’re looking for you creative people to send us your Original Artwork for a chance to win a brand new Flip camera that will feature your design!

What we’re looking for: We want you think about what the word Flufflefritz means to you and enter our contest with a creative design that will be used to reflect the whole look and feel of our site. We’d like you to send us your original fluffy inspired logo and or mascot. Please include a description of where your inspiration came from. Was it something you thought up while eating a luscious 32 scoop sundae complete with sparklers and cherries , or while walking through a magically misty day in your neighborhood? Did Cooper’s smiling face inspire your mascot creation?
