let's go window shopping

remember that voucher i got for my birthday? well, I have until the end of June to use it but I just haven't had a chance to get to anthropologie yet to see what I want... and since I can't go today, as I am still crazy working... I thought we could just do some online window shopping together instead...

here are some shots I took of the awesome displays last time I was at anthropologie to make you feel like you're there :)
so what's your favourite anthropologie piece right now?

Pop Cycle

when we were in Tucson last month for Bryce's bike race we came across the cutest little store called Pop Cycle
and after a quick sticky in the funky eclectically styled windows I dragged Bryce in for a look
and wow - what a visual treat!
but the best part about this store, we learned from the very helpful shop assistant, is that everything in the store is either vintage or up-cycled!
If you're in the 4th St Neighbourhood in Tucson make sure you stop in and check them out, and if you're not you can shop online here

Tiny bird vase and more

In my Christmas gift buying panic, I have been desperately scouring the internet for great gifts for people. Strangely, all I ever seem to find are great gifts for me! I love the tiny bird vase!

Things I don't need, but am buying online anyway

Buy here
Soap that makes you smell like cat food. Used for attracting cats.
Ranch really does make everything taste better.
Cow fighting a man figurines.
Reminds me of a Goya painting, only more plasticy.
I hate clowns.
I'm pretty sure I saw a pickle brine thermos on this site too.
He has a stomach ache.
Inflatable fruitcake!
I am an easily led shopper....

internet + shopping = true love

Have I mentioned how much I love shopping online?

it is kind of ironic that I have worked for a large tech company for almost 6 years now, and yet have only recently gotten into the whole online shopping thing... when we were in Canada it was a bit of a pain as everything that came from the US had to go through customs and there were delays and extra charges that it was just never really worth it... and then you had to be there when the package arrived or they'd take it back to the depot and you'd wait another few days for them to bring it to you...

now we've lived in California for almost 2 years and I have only just recently cottoned onto the idea... since moving into our new house, online shopping has opened up a whole new world to me... it started with my sexy washer and dryer that I got so much cheaper buying online (even with them being shipped all the way across the country) and then there was the dishwasher that I got a great deal on and next we are looking for a new fridge. I don't know if it's living in Sillicon Valley, but it just seems like the norm around here and oh so easy!

These days I do most of my clothes shopping online also, as the idea of going to the mall and trying things on in those nasty, badly lit dressing rooms just appeals to me less and less, and the fact that I can shop around while sitting here in my trackpants and uggs and get some great deals, I mean why would you want to go to the mall???

Here are the things that I bought online this week :)

I also bought custom cushion inserts after searching 4 different stores (the old fashioned way and not being able to find the size I wanted), some biking socks for Bryce and then there's my netflix which is just awesome and I encourage you all to try :)

dreaming of shopping

I have needed new sunnies for as long as I can remember, but I have not been ready to commit after the "Blindes meets nail file in purse" episode... (ouch) and so have been buying cheap $15-$30 sunnies for about the last oh 5 years, which if you add up the fact that they only last between 2 days (yes, I know...) and 6 months, then buying real sunglasses is actually the frugalistic thing to do... right??? ok so here are some styles I'm liking so far...

Cool Stuff

I was looking around on Desire to Inspire one of my new favorite blogs and I found this cool website for Kir Devries. I loved pretty much everything I saw including the serving trays, cool lunch/food carrier, the deer paintings series, and mobiles.
